 Comfy Crawlers designer Marina Westerdahl...
When Marina's children were born she retired from her job as a wildlife biologist and made the decision to stay home with them and be a full time mom. The idea about the Comfy Crawlers came to her one day as she was searching for padded pants for her son who was about to start crawling and she worried that regular pants would not be thick enough to protect his little knees. Sewing had always been a hobby for Marina, so she decided to make crawling pants with cushy knee and shin foam pads built in so her son couldn't wiggle his way out of them. Soon she was getting orders from friends, family and just moms in general that she would see at the local playground. She hired a seamstress and began with an order of 20 pants. They sold in two days. She hired several other seamstresses and founded Gissy Bella. Marina is proud that all Comfy Crawlers are made in the US and that her seamstresses are moms and grandmas that also benefit from the success of Gissy Bella. Marina loves that she can spend the days with her children while also running Gissy Bella from her office...at home.  (Marina & son Ethan-2006)
